I probably have more fun and laugh more than the average person. Having said that, not all things should be considered a free forum for joking around with. Caution, in anything, and certainly no less in humor, should accompany the wise. I’m saddened by the lack of regard and respect for God that you have so freely indulged in, not to mention how useful a puppet you felt he would be in your little hilarity.
I can see the similarity of the Larson cartoon and my cartoon but I think mine is different enough so that it shouldn’t be seen as a copy. I guarantee that the idea of God having buttons that control human lives has been done several times before Larson or myself was even born.
I love Gary Larson’s work and read a lot of his books when I was younger, as I mentioned before I’ve almost certainly seen his smite cartoon and it’s stuck in some crevice at the back of my head to reemerge here. I’ve gone a lot further with the joke and made something different though.
Comedy isn’t composed of the complete TRUTH, it’s a partial truth or something entirely ridiculous that makes an idea funny. The real truth is way too hard for people to accept, like needing the loving and holy savior Jesus Christ to save us from eternal destruction. With your own power, you can’t ever be good enough, or holy enough, or pure enough to enter heaven. You WILL explode in the presence of a Holy God unless you’re covered with the Saviour’s redeeming blood. Don’t buy into the lies of the world, don’t wait for the 11th hour, humbly seek the Lord NOW with all you heart, mind, soul, and strength.
But that doesn’t mean living in a cold home, or installing expensive technologies such as solar panels.
But research carried out by the National Insulation Association suggests that the majority of people are unaware that 60% of heat produced by
a heating system is lost through poorly insulated roofs and cavity walls.
Cavity wall insulation is more likely to solve the problem of
damp, especially damp caused as a direct result of condensation.
The garage is an often-overlooked area when it comes to home insulation. Still, there’s
a catch to this: regular people can’t install this type of insulation by themselves,
and professional service is frequently needed.
Finger joints are very strong when compared to the normal dovetail joints
because they have more area for gluing.
